Bio

Along with being a performer, Lauren Towns is a passionate singing teacher who loves to inspire and guide children aged 5-16 along their singing journey. With pedagogy, theory, and technique training from the Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University (Bachelor of Music in Classical Voice – 2024), Lauren brings a wealth of knowledge to her teaching.

As a nurturing and caring teacher, Lauren creates a safe and supportive environment for her students to grow as singers. She believes that everyone has a unique voice and works hard to help each student develop their own individual singing style. Lauren’s teaching approach is based on building strong foundations in vocal technique, breath support, movement, and alignment. She believes that these skills are essential for developing a healthy and powerful singing voice. With her guidance, students learn how to use their voice in a way that feels comfortable and natural, enabling them to express themselves with confidence and clarity.

In the 60 minute lessons, Lauren includes interactive teaching techniques, such as fun warmups, and movement exercises, to keep students motivated and inspired. She encourages creativity and individuality, and works with each student to help them develop their own unique sound and style.

Lauren is committed to helping her students achieve their goals and reach their full potential as singers. Whether a student wants to sing in a school choir, pursue a career in music, or simply enjoy singing for their own pleasure, Lauren provides the support and guidance needed to make it happen.

Location

Lauren can travel to students’ residences to provide lessons (within a 20km radius).
